Where it is realistic
Clear or lightly colored bottles and selected jars are the usual candidates. A heavy metallic mascara cap or a living hinge is a different material problem. EHON will say when a recycled spec fights clarity, color or decoration.
What to approve on sample
Look at clarity, color drift and how stamp, print or spray sits on the part. A recycled claim that only exists on a slide is not a specification. The sample is.
If recycled content is optional, ask for two routes in one quotation: the standard resin and the recycled alternative. That keeps the launch moving if one route cannot hold the finish.
